Heaven: Heaven

“There is no disappointment, no sorrow, no sin; no one who shall say, I am sick; there are no burial trains, no mourning, no death, no partings, no broken hearts; but Jesus is there, peace is there. There ‘they shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor the sun smite them; for He that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall He guide them’”—Thoughts From the Mount of Blessings, p. 33.

1. According to Scripture what will the saved inherit?

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the _______,” (Matthew 5:5). “But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of PE__CE,” (Psalm 37:11).

2.  How did Jesus describe heaven and what did He promise?

In my Father’s house are many _________: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will ______ again,” (John 14:2, 3).

3.   What is heaven really all about?

“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the ___________ of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God,” (Rev. 21:3).

4.  Will the saved see God?

“And they shall see his _____; and his name shall be in their foreheads,” (Rev. 22:4).

5.   What shall it be like in the new earth?

“Then the eyes of the blind shall be _______, and the ears of the deaf shall be ________ … the lame man ______ as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb _____: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the ______," (Isaiah 35:5-6). “And they shall _______ houses, and inhabit them; and they shall _______ vineyards, and eat the fruit of them,” (Isaiah 65:21). “The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock…They shall not hurt nor ________ in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD," (Isaiah 65:25).

6.   What kind of bodies will the saved have?

“Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his ________ body,” (Phil. 3:21). Behold my ______ and my _____, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not _____ and _____, as ye see me have,” (Luke 24:39).

7 .   When do the saved go to heaven?

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the _______ of the ____ shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air..." (1 Thess. 4:15,16).

"And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day," (John 6:39).

NOTE: The Coming of the Lord is the Second Coming and it takes place at the end of the world or the last day. Therefore, no one is in heaven now. (See study of Death)

8.    Who ONLY gets to go to heaven?

"Blessed are they that ___ his ______________, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city," (Rev. 22:14). “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath ______ hands, and a ______ heart,” (Ps. 24:3, 4).

9.   Are you willing to surrender your life to God so that you can inherit heaven?
