January Devotions . . .

Touch of Faith Ministry morning devotions are taken from the book Christ Triumphant written by Ellen G. White.

Bitterness Leads to Disloyalty, January 31  "And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell." Genesis 4:5. Pastor Ephraim explains that when anyone murmurs and pities themselves because something has been said or done that does not suit them, and that does not, as thy think, give them due consideration ... they are carrying on the very work Satan began in heaven. Listen NOW.

Abel's Offering Represented Christ's Sacrifice, January 30,  "Why are thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door." Genesis 4:6, 7. Why was Abel's offering accepted and Cain's rejected. Pastor Ephraim explains what made the difference. Listen NOW.

Faithfulness to God Excites Fury of the Wicket, January 29  "And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. Genesis 4:4, 5. One would expect that faithfulness to God would be positively rewarded. Dr. Ephraim explains that that is not always the case. Often, Christians who obey God often incite the wicket to turn on them. Listen NOW.

Hope Delayed But Not Terminated, January 28  "When the fullness of time had come, God sent his Son ... to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as children." Galatians 4:4, 5, NRSV. Many Christians scoffers declare that Christ's return is far off. Some even deny His return altogether. Pastor Ephraim uses the Bible to show why none should loose hope in the imminent return of Christ. Listen NOW.

Don't Seek The Knowledge Of Fools, January 27  "And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil." Genesis 3:22. Dr. Ephraim explains that not all knowledge is the same. One is humanistic and the other is divine. The one sought after is totally up to the seeker. Listen NOW.

Fallen Humans Can Become One With God, January 26  "So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! 2 Corinthians 5:17, NRSV. Christ Only Could Make Atonement For Sin, January 24  "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things ... but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." 1 Peter 1:18. Dr. Ephraim explores why Christ alone could make atonement for sin. Listen NOW.

There is a great controversy between God and Satan and between God's people and the children of Satan. Dr. Ephraim explains that God places in the heart of His people a hatred for all things evil so that His people will not turn from evil. Listen NOW.

God Puts Satan On Notice, January 22  "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman." Genesis 3:15. There is a strife between the forces of good and evil, between the loyal and disloyal angels, between the people and God and the people of Satan. This battle has always been. Dr. Ephraim looks at how God places notice on Satan and the role His people play. Listen NOW.

Sin Forced Changed In God's Plans, January 21  "Thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. And unto Adam he said ... Cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life." Genesis 3;16, 17. Men and women were created equal, but sin came and made a change to God's plan for the home. Dr. Ephraim explores what changes came as a result of sin and why. Listen NOW.

The Result of Opposing God's Plan, January 20  "And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou has done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat." Genesis 3:13. Beguiled, bewitched, deceived are all the things that Satan desires to do to those who stop and listen to him. Dr. Ephraim looks at the results of opposing God's plan. Listen NOW.

The Consequences of Sin, January 19  "And Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden." Genesis. Sin doesn't come without consequences. Dr. Ephraim looks at three consequences of sin. Listen NOW.

Value In Comparing Eden and Gethsemane, January 18  "As by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous." Romans 5:19. Eden and Gethsemane are rarely compared. If they are, you'll discover that while the first Adam failed the Second Adam, Christ, was victorious. Pastor Ephraim explores crucial facts about our walk with God. Listen NOW.

Warning Against Counterfeit Knowledge, January 17  "And when the woman saw that the tree was ... pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, an did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." Genesis 3:6. Not all knowledge is the same. One leads to an all knowing God, and the other to the changing ideas of men. Dr. Ephraim explores the difference between the two. Listen NOW.

Satan Urges Dependence on Self, January 16  "God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." Genesis 3:5. Dr. Ephraim explores the dangers of relying on self when it comes to salvation and the things of God. He shows how Satan deceives many into believing that they can do right all by themselves. Listen NOW.

Labor Necessary Even in Eden, January 14  "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it." Genesis 2:17. Dr. Ephraim explains that God always meant for man to work. Back in the Garden of Eden, before sin, work was given man. Listen NOW.

First Transgression Inexcusable, January 13  "I made the earth, and created humankind upon it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host." Isaiah 45:12. Dr. Ephraim explains that God had made everything necessary for happiness. Yet, both Satan and Adam chose to sin. Why? Is there a reason for sin?. Listen NOW.

Significance of the Sabbath, January 12  "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made." Genesis 2:1, 2. Dr. Ephraim explains the significance of God's Sabbath. He debunks the indefinite period of time taken in the creation by showing, from the Bible, that creation took place over 6 literal days and on the seventh day, God rested. Listen NOW.

The Controversy Recalled, January 11  "Thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Ezekiel 28:16. Dr. Ephraim explores the benefit of keeping before you the great controversy between God and Satan. Listen NOW.

God says to all "choose who you will follow." Listen NOW.
